This policy explains what data the website vorika.app, including the blog at vorika.app/blog, collects, why, who it is shared with and how to have it deleted. It covers the website, not the Vorika app.
1. Who is responsible for your data
The data controller is the company named on the Legal notice page. For any questions about your data, email support@vorika.app.
2. What data we collect
Waitlist
When you leave your email in the form on the home page, we store:
- your email address;
- the plan (monthly or yearly) and currency selected on the page;
- the section of the page the form was sent from, the page address, the website you came from and campaign tags (UTM) if the link contained them;
- your device’s time zone, so we can email you at a convenient time and show prices in a suitable currency;
- the date and time of your request.
To protect the form from automated submissions, we keep a hashed fingerprint of your IP address for 10 minutes. The IP address itself is not stored with your request, and the fingerprint is deleted automatically.
Visiting the website
Like any website, our server receives technical data: IP address, browser and device type, the page requested and the time of the request. We need this data to run the website and protect it from attacks.
Analytics
To understand which pages are useful, we use web analytics services: Google Analytics (Google), Yandex Metrica (Yandex) and Microsoft Clarity (Microsoft). They collect pseudonymised visit data: pages viewed, referral source, time on site, device type and approximate location based on IP address. Clarity and Metrica also record mouse movements, scrolling and clicks. These services use cookies and similar technologies.
Fonts
The website’s fonts are loaded from Google Fonts servers. When this happens, your browser sends its IP address to Google.
Blog comments
If you leave a comment, we store your name, email, the comment text, your IP address and browser data in order to publish the comment and filter spam.
3. Why we use your data
- Your waitlist email: to tell you about the app launch and send you a download link and the price reserved for you. We do not sell your email or share it for other companies’ mailings.
- Plan, currency, referral source and tags: to understand where visitors come from and which terms interest them.
- Technical and analytics data: to keep the website running, secure and easier to use.
4. Legal basis
We process your waitlist email on the basis of your consent, which you give by submitting the form. We process technical data on the basis of our legitimate interest in operating and securing the website. Analytics is based on your consent or our legitimate interest, depending on the laws of your country. If you are in the European Union, these are Articles 6(1)(a) and 6(1)(f) of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
5. Who we share data with
- the hosting provider that runs the website’s servers;
- Google: the email service that receives waitlist notifications and handles correspondence with support@vorika.app, as well as Google Analytics and Google Fonts;
- Yandex: Yandex Metrica;
- Microsoft: Microsoft Clarity.
These companies may process data outside your country, including in the United States. We do not share your data with anyone else unless the law requires it.
6. How long we keep data
- Waitlist emails: until the app launches and no longer than 12 months after that, or until you ask us to delete them.
- The IP fingerprint used to protect the form: 10 minutes.
- Analytics data: according to each service’s rules, usually 13 to 26 months.
- Comments: for as long as they are published on the blog.
7. Your rights
At any time you can ask what data we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, withdraw your consent to emails or object to processing. To do so, email support@vorika.app from the address you gave us. We will reply within 30 days. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before it.
If you believe we are violating your rights, you can file a complaint with the data protection authority in your country.
8. Cookies
Cookies are small files that a website stores in your browser. Our website uses technical WordPress cookies (for example, to remember details in the comment form) and the analytics cookies described in section 2. You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings, and the website will keep working.
9. Changes to this policy
We update this policy when the way the website handles data changes. The date of the last update is shown at the top of the page.
